A MOST BEAUTIFUL CEREMONY of accepting the school children of St. Adalbert's Parish into the "Holy Childhood Association" was held in the Basilica last Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. Fr. Tadeusz Głowacki, the Pastor's assistant, led the acceptance ceremony and the blessing of badges. The Sisters who teach at the school prepared the schoolchildren for the ceremony which began with a procession led by a statue of the Infant of Prague. Mr. Mieczysław Żydowicz played the organ during the singing of beautiful hymns to the Infant Jesus. Girls who received their First Holy Communion last year wore white dresses. The entire ceremony was uplifting and very pious. At the end, Fr. Głowacki blessed the congregation with the Most Blessed Sacrament. The ceremony pictured above was held under the aegis of the Diocesan "Holy Childhood Association", which holds a similar ceremony every year on February 2. (Photo and negative Everybody's Daily)
