All are welcome to join us on Saturday, Oct. 11th at 5:30pm at St. Adalbert Basilica as we celebrated our 140th 'Pre-Anniversary Mass' and Devotion to St. Therese of Lisieux, "the Little Flower." A blessed rose petal sachet bag with a holy medal will be distributed, symbolizing hope and inspiration for all. Singing at the Mass will be soprano Melanie Bebak.
Canonized 100 years ago, in 1925, St. Therese has become one of the most popular saints around the world. Saint Adalbert's was one of the first churches in the diocese to have a statue of St. Therese, whose canonization was celebrated with a tableau performed at St. Adalbert's in August 1925. Shown in the photo is Melanie Graczyk, a member of St. Adalbert Class of 1925 who shared this photo when she attended St. Adalbert's All-Year Reunion in 2009.
St. Adalbert Basilica is proud to host a jazz concert and mass featuring Buffalo's own New Orleans-style brass band The Brass Machine. Fr. Cole Webster will be our celebrant.

The Brass Machine is a Buffalo-based, professional touring band that has shared stages with Earth Wind & Fire, Starship, Rebirth Brass Band, John Papa Gros and many more. Brass bands play an important role in celebrations of faith in New Orleans, from church services to second lines as our faithful departed are laid to rest. The Brass Machine will share that music with us as we make a joyful noise in praise. Please join us for this special event!
