Please join us for our annual Mass of Remembrance to be held at St. Adalbert Basilica on Saturday, November 2th, 2024 at 5:30 PM. During this very special Mass we remember in a special way those who have gone before us. Singing at the Mass will be the Kromer Youth Choir. Celebrant will be Rev. Cole Webster. A reception will follow.

Those who would like to submit names to be remembered during the Mass are asked to complete and return the attached form - the names will be read and a candle will be lit in their memory.

Please join us on Sunday, September 29th for our Lourdes Virtual Pilgrimage, an interactive, prayerful experience that 'transports' us to the Grotto in Lourdes through projected imagery, an in-person guide, actual pieces of the grotto rock and Lourdes water. The rosary and Eucharistic blessing are sacred parts of this profound experience.  A light reception will follow.

  • February 10th - Our Lady of Lourdes Healing Service at 3 PM
  • February 16th - Stations of the Cross at 6 PM
  • February 18th - Lenten Agape Soup Brunch at St. Adalbert between 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
  • March 22nd - Stations of the Cross at 6 PM
  • March 28th - Holy Thursday Adoration from 5 PM - 10:30 PM

EASTER CHOCOLATE

We will once again be at the Broadway Market on the following dates:

  • March 9-10
  • March 16 - March 30th

We will be selling chocolate at St. John Kanty Rectory every Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM - 1 PM starting February 17th through Palm Sunday.  St. John Kanty folks will be selling their placek and pierogi on the same dates as well!

Please join us for mass at 4 PM on Christmas Eve at St. Adalbert Basilica.  Soprano vocalist Brittany Mruczek will be singing at the Mass.

We'll also continue the tradition of our Memory Trees. Please contact us if you'd like to hang an ornament on the tree for a recently deceased loved one.

Over 900 candles from our Remembrance Mass will burn throughout the mass, and the Basilica will be beautifully decorated as always.

There's nothing like Christmas Mass in Buffalo's Historic Polonia at one of the most beautiful houses of worship in all of WNY.

St. Adalbert Basilica will be holding a Christmas Candy Sale on Saturday, December 2nd from 12 - 3 PM and Sunday, December 3rd from 10 AM - 1 PM in the St. John Kanty Rectory (behind St. John Kanty Church; enter through church parking lot).  St. John Kanty will also have placek and pierogi available for purchase, as well as a basket raffle.  Pre-orders for candy can also be placed by contacting Arlene at 716-997-9983 or messaging us through Saint Adalbert Basilica's Facebook Page.

New this year will be angel and nutcracker suckers and Nativity scene and Three Wise Men medallions.  We will also be selling snowman and Santa suckers, as well as Large Merry Christmas "Cards" (3.5" x 8").  Prices range from $0.50 - $7.00.  Milk, dark, and white chocolate will be available.

Join the tradition of visiting 7 churches on Holy Thursday in the old neighborhood. St. Adalbert's Basilica will be open for visitation from 5 pm to 10 pm (no mass will be celebrated). Solemn Mass of Holy Thursday and Procession to the Altar of Repose will be celebrated at St. John Kanty Church at 7 pm.  St. John Kanty Church will remain open for visitation until 10 pm. All are welcome!
