St. Adalbert Basilica Declared a Local Landmark

On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, the City of Buffalo Common Council moved to designate St. Adalbert Basilica an official local landmark! Thanks to the Buffalo Common Council and Buffalo Preservation Board for their unanimous support, to Councilmember Mitch Nowakowski in the Fillmore District for sponsoring our application, and to Preservation Buffalo Niagara for their assistance in creating our application.

I am so excited to see this!
Any idea when the church will be open for mass? We are trying to plan a trip to Buffalo and to see the church.

Deservedly should be on the list ! The previous Pope did declare it always to stay open for services as it TRULY is the first basilica built on the entire Atlantic coast ( circa 1907 ). We love attending every activity, especially the usually held service around Three Kings Day with the singer from Batavia, NY ! We shall look forward to the St. Adalbert’s feast day Mass this April !
